prints.

cruising the interweb this morning, i found dutch artist pietari posti. his prints are very accessible but with a somber undertone. commissions for publications such as NYtimes, NYmagazine, SEED, Dwell and Insound in addition to personal works are really very appealing.




on the right, a project for Whaleless and Greenpeace Italty - this one is my favorite out of the bunch.

below, a print from a NYtimes Science article about first year medical students facing death.












here, illustrations for NewScientist about three differing theories on the begining of our universe. these are the most abstract that posti has presented and they really stand out on their own.


























lastly, some sketches from posti's online sketchbook;









these black and white sketches are great, i love how charming they are without being too cutesy or whimsical. the combinations from page to page make them assorted works that could stand on their own.
